The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced a reduction in gold prices in the country.
The new price has been set with a maximum decrease of Tk1,365 per bhori (11.66 grams).
As a result of this price drop, the cost of high-quality 22-carat gold will now be Tk142,161 per short, down from Tk143,526.
This information was provided in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, the chairman of Bajus’s pricing and market monitoring permanent committee.
Bajus stated that the price of gold has decreased in the local market.
Considering the overall situation, the new gold prices have been fixed.
The new prices will take effect from Tuesday.
