The dominant win sets up a thrilling series decider against Afghanistan
Bangladesh have levelled the three-match One-Day International series against Afghanistan with a comfortable 68-run victory in the second match.
The win in the second tie in Sharjah on Saturday sets up a mouth-watering decider in the final game.
On the same pitch where Bangladesh had faced difficulties in the opening game, Afghanistan suffered a similar fate this time.
Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto top-scored with 76 off 119 balls, guiding Bangladesh to 252.
Afghanistan, struggling to chase the target, were all out for 184 with 39 balls to spare.
Nasum Ahmed, who returned to the national side after a year, played a key role, taking 3 wickets and contributing 25 runs.
Debutant Jaker Ali added 37 not out from 27 balls, including three sixes.
Afghanistan started their chase well but lost wickets at regular intervals.
Bangladesh’s bowlers, especially Nasum and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, took control of the match, dismissing Afghanistan's top and middle order.
Taskin Ahmed also made early breakthroughs, including the dismissal of Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
Afghanistan's chase faltered further when they lost wickets in quick succession, and they ultimately fell short by 68 runs.
The final match is scheduled for Monday in Sharjah.
