I can’t wait to share our story with the world, hoping it touches hearts and inspires change. Thank you for being a part of this journey.”

It will represent Bangladesh in the World Cinema Category. It is set to have four screenings, two for festival attendees, a press show, and one for the festival jury and each will include a Q&A session.

Lead actress Mehazabien also wrote on her Facebook page, “My second feature film Priyo Maloti has been officially selected for world premiere at the prestigious Cairo International Film Festival 2024, which will be held this mid-November in Cairo, Egypt. This is a big achievement for us. This is a very proud news for the entire team. We never thought that ‘Priyo Maloti’, a story based on Bangladesh, would be so relevant on the international stage as well. This is a huge achievement for our team.”

She continued, “After the world premiere, we plan to release the movie in theaters in the country as soon as possible for the Bangladeshi audience as well. As you have always been by my side in all my work, I want you all by my side during the release of ‘Priyo Maloti’.”
The festival will last from November 13 to 22.

The 45th edition of the festival will include 194 films from 72 countries around the world.
