Govt appoints 752 law officers for district courts across Bangladesh

 The lawyers have been recruited for different courts in 11 districts



The Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs has appointed 752 public law officers across the country in a week.


The appointments were made to fill various positions in courts across 11 districts. The roles include government pleader (GP), additional GP, assistant GP, public prosecutor (PP), additional PP, and assistant PP.


Among the new recruits, 83 have been appointed to Kishoreganj, 63 to Cox's Bazar, 25 to Rajbari, 128 to Kushtia, 34 to Satkhira, 91 to Narayanganj, 145 to Barishal, 63 to Sunamganj, 44 to Netrokona, 56 to Natore, and 20 to Panchagarh, covering district and sessions judge's courts, as well as subordinate courts, tribunals and special judge's courts.

The ministry’s Law and Justice Division issued three appointment orders on Oct 24, 29, and 30.


The notices, signed by Deputy Solicitor Sana Md Mahroof Hossain, also terminated the contracts of law officers, who were previously appointed to district and sessions judge's courts, subordinate courts, tribunals, and special judge's courts.
