Richard Branson in space with a balloon

Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Galactic, is a popular name in the world of technology and innovative enterprises (startups). Richard embarks on an expedition to the edge of the Earth's atmosphere with the Space Perspective balloon. Richard Branson will be co-piloting the balloon to the edge of the atmosphere.

Richard Branson had flown record hot-air balloons over the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in 1987 and 1991. Florida-based balloon company Space Perspective is working to send balloons into the stratosphere. They will send an eight-passenger capsule named Spaceship Neptune into the stratosphere with a giant, hydrogen-filled balloon. Richard will serve as co-pilot aboard the Space Perspective balloon. Richard will go on a balloon expedition sometime in 2025.

.

Richard will take part in several spectacular test flights. He said, 'I got some of the best experiences of my life in the balloon expedition. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to go again. So far Branson has invested a lot of money in space. He has collected about 100 million dollars so far for various campaigns. This balloon mission differs from Virgin Galactic or Blue Origin space agency. Space Perspective's balloon flights will be conducted over long periods. The balloon will travel at average wind speeds and the entire mission will last around six hours.

Spaceship Neptune is designed for long journeys. This balloon has enough space to move around. It even has a bathroom. Spaceship Neptune will reach an altitude of 20 miles above Earth's surface. From there the explorers will see the border of blue earth on one side and dark space on the other side. Branson will be accompanied by Space Perspective co-founders Taber McCollum and Jane Poynter on the same expedition.

.

Branson previously visited Earth's final frontier aboard Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity space plane in July 2021. Meanwhile, Space Perspective conducted its maiden flight last month using a test capsule called Excelsior. So far, more than 1,800 people have expressed interest in traveling on the spaceship Neptune. 1 lakh 25 thousand US dollars should be counted for one trip.
